Avoiding SEO Scams:
There’s a Special Place in H*ll For SEO Scammers…

A question we hear often is, “I hear about so many SEO specialists who can promise me #1 ranking on Google, why don’t I just outsource it to one of these specialists?

Haha, we get the same spam emails you might be getting :) Which is a bunch of self-proclaimed SEO “experts” claiming to be the “#1 SEO company in the world“. We get so many making the same claim, I mean, they can’t ALL be #1 right?

There are so many scammers in the SEO industry that it’s disgusting. They make open-ended claims like “we’ll get you to the top of Google” (without declaring for what keyword) or they’ll just flat out lie, saying how they are “friends with Google“.

Come on! Give us a break! You REALLY think Google would let folks cheat the system? You really think Google, a multi-billion industry, is helping spammy SEO hacks on the side? We don’t think so…

But we have to admit, these SEO hacks are good at… well, scamming. So good that even the “big guys” get caught up in their lies.

Even the Big Guys Get Caught Off Guard

Take Robert Kiyosaki, author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad” for example. We consulted with his internet marketing team a while back and learned that they’ve run into some SEO scams themselves. The previous company they interacted with promised #1 rankings for ridiculous keyterms like:

  • Credit Cards
  • 401k
  • Financial Freedom
  • Silver & Gold

And they promised they’d achieve these top rankings in a couple of WEEKS.

If you do a search for these terms, you’ll find that they have what we call, “800lb gorillas” dominating the top rankings. These websites have been around for many years, have DEEP marketing pockets, are actively doing SEO, and have an authority presence in the eyes of the search engines.

To knock them off of their pedestals would take more than just a couple of weeks - even with the top-notch strategies we will be sharing with you.

We also have several other personal examples of high grossing clients of ours that are SCARED of SEO because they’ve been scammed before…

Know Your Stuff so You Don’t Get Taken for a Ride…

The point is if you are going to outsource your SEO, great. But you really should know how SEO works, what SHOULD be done, as well as what should NOT be done.

You need to be privy of what we call “blackhat SEO” which are tactics that will not only make your website lose ranking, but possible even get banned by the search engines as well.

You need to know all of this so you can keep tabs on your contractor and make sure he/she doesn’t screw over your website!

Lastly, set realistic expectations. Know that SEO takes time, and this means both getting GOOD results as well as BAD results. Think about it, a contractor doing SEO for you may get you good results (using blackhat, unbeknownst to you since you weren’t properly educated…) in a short amount of time.

So you are happy and you hand over several $grand. But then Google catches on that your website was using blackhat… so they punish you. And you watch your rankings plummet over the next few days before it disappears completely. Well guess what… the contractor is LONG gone, so is your money… and pretty soon, so is your website and business.

So make sure you know what you are doing when it comes to SEO. Protect your website and your business. Stick with us and you’ll be just dandy, whether you want to do it yourself or outsource it.
